The Sustainable Seas Trust in partnership with Petro S.A have been running educational programmes that aim to teach people in rural areas essential life-long skills to better manage their resources. These films and images document this educational process and displays how NGO's can better assist these communities by giving them these skills.Many people living in rural areas along the coastline of South Africa have a heavy reliance on agricultural products and marine resources. This project aims to further educate communities on sustainable harvesting practices through the use of posters, manuals and films. Providing computer literacy workshops will also allow these communities to be better equipped for this digital age. These film stress the importance of increasing community run projects and uplifting these communities by educating them and providing resources that they will use for future generations to come.
